In 2017, Alexandra Olmedo has traveled all the way from Cincinnati, Ohio to pursue her deep love for dance. At the age of 4 she began to explore all types of creative movement; from Latin style dances, to modern, extending all the way to interpretive and ballroom. As a young adult, she furthered her study through many college competitive dance teams and won her first amateur swing competition. From then on she was hooked, and decided to study ballroom full time with many professional coaches from around the world, including Latin champion Marco Mechelke, Jozsef Parragh and smooth champions Mazen Hamza and Izabella, among others. She takes great interest in the study of anatomy and movement oriented-modalities, and as a certified yoga instructor she applies many of these techniques in her teaching. Alexandra is a passionate and loving person who is always looking to put a smile on her students’ faces, and bring passion, fire, and most importantly heart to the Sherman Oaks studio.
