Wedding dance lessons are a wonderful way to prepare you for your big day. With a little practice and the right dance moves, you can certainly impress your guests. After all, you and your partner should be the center of attention, and debut a beautiful, choreographed dance that you both have confidence to present.
However, there are some do’s that you should keep in mind as you take part in your wedding dance lessons, are you aware of what they are?
Every first dance deserves to be one of a kind! That’s why, here at Arthur Murray Dance Studio, we have gathered some aspects that you should do when taking your wedding dance lessons. If you would like to learn what they are, be sure to continue reading for some great insight:
- DO give yourself enough time. To create the perfect first dance, you will need practice. Dance is not something that you learn overnight, especially if you are not avid dancers. Ideally, you should begin your wedding dance lessons a month or two in advance, so you at least have a good few weeks of practice.
- DO choose the right song. There are so many songs that fill the world. However, not all are great choices for dancing to. When deciding on your first dance song, keep in mind the rhythm, to ensure that it is a tune that you can feel comfortable moving to. In addition, your teacher will be able to assist you in choosing a song, if you are at a loss of options.
- DO invest in quality shoes. You will of course want to look your best on your big day. Therefore, you will most likely purchase a stylish pair of shoes. However, for comfort within your dance, and throughout your big day, it would be ideal to invest in shoes that are both comfortable and fashionable. But, know that you can always change into other shoes, just for you dance. Or, break in your shoes before the big day.
