If you have a love of playing football, then you should certainly consider taking dance classes too! While it may seem entirely odd, it is actually true. If you enjoy playing football, then you may just take a liking to dancing as well.
Are you aware of how dancing is actually just like playing football?
Here at Arthur Murray Dance Studio, we believe that everyone should give dancing a try! That’s why we have gathered some reasons as to how dancing is actually like playing football. If you have a love of sports, be sure to continue reading to gain some great insight:
- Instruction. When playing football, you will have a coach. Your coach will instruct you on which position to play and how to best maneuver. The same concept applies to dance. Your dance instructor will teach you how to lead and display patterns, assist you in focusing on your styling, and showcasing great routines.
- Roles. Football consists of offense and defense, and dancing presents the same. When dancing with a partner, you will have a leader and a follower. The leader is similar to a Quarterback, as they will decide which pattern to dance to. Then, the follower will be responsible for reading signals that the leader presents.
- Team. It wouldn’t be football without a team. You will work with others around you to promote the best game play. The same principal applies to dance. Whether you are dancing with a partner or as a group, you will all work together as a team to execute a lovely presentation.
If you enjoy playing football, you will certainly enjoy dancing too! These are just a few of the many reasons as to why.
