- 1940’s. If we skip ahead 20 years, we will then see the Mambo come about. One of the best ways for people to relieve their stress after The Great Depression which took place in the 30’s was by hitting the dance floor and showcasing the Mambo.
- 1950’s. Contemporary dance was starting to be showcased by the 1950’s. People were beginning to highlight dances such as the Cha Cha and Hand Jive. Fast hand and foot movements really made for lively entertainment and fun out on the dance floor.
